Tax Manager - Real Estate

EisnerAmper is seeking a Manager to expand our Real Estate Tax practice.  Our Real Estate Tax practice serves a wide range of clients with specific needs including real estate private equity funds, public and private REITs, as well as privately owned Real Estate held by family offices or joint ventures. 

​This open position offers the opportunity to join a high-performing, high-growth team while working with complex clients in the Real Estate industry. We are seeking someone who thrives in a growing environment and providing clients with exceptional services. EisnerAmper operates on a hybrid work model.

The goal of EisnerAmper’s Real Estate Services Group is to help our clients become operationally efficient and structure successful transactions so they can attract capital, initiate and complete new projects, and maximize their potential returns. EisnerAmper’s Real Estate Services Group is bringing industry professionals together, to foster relationships, facilitate deal flow, and encourage the exchange of marketplace intelligence and insight. Our professionals are deeply connected to the owners, developers, investors, and legal advisors who power the real estate industry. We further those relationships by sponsoring a series of high-profile industry events, such as the annual EisnerAmper Real Estate Private Equity Summits, held on both coasts.

What you'll be doing:

  • Run client engagements from start to finish, including planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects on time, within budget, and up to management standards

  • Build impactful relationships with new and existing clients and maintain relationship with firm leadership

  • Review tax returns completed by staff, making recommendations regarding accuracy and savings opportunities

  • Actively participate in business development efforts to include working collaboratively with partners and marketing professionals to target and build relationships with client prospects

  • Brainstorm new ideas and propose innovative solutions to problems

  • Manage, train and develop staff.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent field

  • 6+ years of progressive tax experience

  • CPA

  • Experience working with REITS

Preferred Candidates also have:

  • Master’s Degree in Tax

  • 1+ years of supervisory experience

For NYC and California, the expected salary range for this position is between $97,872.00 and $183,510.00. The range for the position in other geographies may vary based on market differences. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Working in California

Located in the Financial District of San Francisco, our office is close to the Embarcadero and to the iconic and fascinating Piers. Our building is in the well-known Market Street location. Additionally, the firm has smaller offices in San Mateo, Sacramento, and La Jolla.
